Did you know we have been using bicycles since the 1810’s? Although back then, they were called a ‘dandy horse’ or a ‘running machine’. They didn’t have pedals, a steering mechanism or brakes, making them incredibly dangerous.
How does a bicycle change a life?
Bicycles have come a long way since the 1800s, but they are a vital tool and loved by our national missionaries today!
Our National Missionaries work extremely hard visiting hard-to-reach people across Asia and Africa to transform lives through God’s love. They travel miles and miles to visit villages which are often rural, isolated by distance. Often, due to poor roads, it can take hours to get from one village to another!
Pastor Dafferine is a national missionary in a remote village in Asia. He struggled to reach villages on foot due to distances and hilly, mountainous terrain. However, once he received a bicycle donated by someone like you, he could travel up to 18 miles a day! He can visit villages which were impossible to reach and transform more lives across his country.

Through national missionary sponsorship, we have the opportunity to change lives not only here and now, but eternally in Asia and Africa. Did you know that around 80,000 people die every day in the 10/40 Window? Some of their lives may end without ever hearing about the love of God. We can make a choice today that will forever change the fate of those who have yet to hear.

By providing our national missionaries with bicycles, you can help them provide support to those in need or who are sick. They share life-saving gifts like water filters, sewing machines, or mosquito nets and they run education programmes and health initiatives and visit people suffering from leprosy and other diseases.
