Millions of people in Asia are still waiting to hear the message of hope and forgiveness in Jesus for the first time. Indigenous missionaries are faithfully ministering among these people, sharing the good news of God’s grace and mercy, but they need a team of “senders” to stand behind them and equip them for ministry!
By serving behind the scenes at GFA World’s UK office (or any other support-country office!) we the GFA World staff members link believers in our own country with the indigenous missionaries and workers in Asia and Africa. Together, we enable national missionaries to do life-changing work with those who have never heard about Christ. Additionally, the fact that we can impact thousands of people by doing this work is simply mind-blowing!
Each of us staff members have heard a call from the Lord to work behind the scenes, serving national missionaries in Asia and Africa, and the church community worldwide. Our service is more than a job—it’s a calling.
If you are interested in joining staff, fill in our preliminary staff application form here.
Caroline, Staff member
One of the best things about becoming a part of the team here is the fact that you become part of a community. Our office works hard behind the scenes and has a huge hand in changing the lives of thousands of people around the world. So, we feel it’s important to create a fun and encouraging environment for anyone who’s involved in any capacity. We want our team – whether that’s our staff in our office or it’s a remote worker who’s miles away – to thrive and feel at home in our community, so we host events for everyone to join and meet each other, we provide resources and an online community, and give support wherever needed!
We have the unique requirement that our staff raise their own support so we can use more funds for life-transforming ministry projects on the field. Staff members develop and maintain teams of supporters who will contribute toward our home team staff needs. We at GFA World provide training, materials, resources, discipleship and a mentor to walk alongside each new staff member through the support-raising process, as we know that it’s a journey you need to be supported in.
Having staff that is externally supported offsets GFA’s personnel and office expenses, and as a result, gives us more resources to support the work in Asia and to spread awareness of our ministry around the world! Another major benefit of having supported teams is the prayer support their supporters provide, especially during seasons of difficulty.
Support levels are adequate to live modestly in the Manchester area and are determined by need and family size.
